Shower repair
If your shower develops a fault do you call plumber or electrician? At the shower expert we can diagnose and repair any shower fault, be it plumbing or electrical.
Where possible, our first priority will always be to repair rather than replace your faulty shower. However there is always a balance between the type of shower, cost of spares v replacement costs and if the shower is built in, or surface mounted For example with built in showers a repair could save you disruption and the cost of tile work. Every repair is different and we will discuss your requirements and give you the best advice and price possible
Shower repairs electric and mixer start at £50 plus parts (if required).
Shower replacement, upgrade & pumps
If your shower requires replacing, be it beyond repair, obsolete, or you want to upgrade your existing shower. We can supply & fit a suitable replacement. If you have changed to a combination boiler we would recommend a thermostatic mixer be fitted, this is a massive improvement over an electric shower in both the pressure and flow. Another popular upgrade is a Care Shower, both thermostatic mixer or electric showers available (see care showers, under shower types) We can also supply Digital showers and shower pumps to boost your existing gravity-fed system but what ever types of shower you require we can find a solution.
Replacing your existing electric shower with one you have purchased start from £75 depending on make and model
We can supply and fit a replacement electric shower from £160.

Shower installation
If you would like a shower fitted above you're existing bath for example, we can carry out a full installation service. Depending on your existing plumbing & electrical system you can have the choice of either an electric, mixer, or digital shower. We can fit these without disturbing your existing tiles (Site visit required to asses options). Or tile the shower area after the installation. An alternative to tiling is, a shower wall, or Mira shower panels, tile look water proof boards fitted either to walls or over existing tiles, we can also fit bath screens to complete your new installation.
All shower installations fitted to the approved standards of Scottish water, And all Electrical work to 17th Edition Standards.
If you require a new installation or for example are changing from an electric to a mixer shower we will happily provide a free survey and estimate.
Do you have a call-out charge?
When we arrive at your premises we will carry out a inspection of your shower and identify the fault If we can not fix your shower, eg parts are obsolete or cost of parts is excessive and you do not wish to proceed with the repair, or installation of a new shower you will be charged a call-out of £25 to cover the engineers time and fuel. Please contact us with as much information as possible on your shower type and model and we will try to give you a estimate of cost.
